Given (Reprised)

There is that pesky word again...

(Back to my story)

..As I went through my 3rd week in a horizontal fashion..
I had still been working (yes, type A personality) and lo and behold...
went back into pre-term labor... how fun! Dr. forbid me from phone calls with anyone other than immediate - positive - family, no work associates or "others", and the mandate to get up only for the bathroom and a 10 minute shower each day along with more meds. How nice.

So, interestingly, the verse the Lord showed me this week is a very multi faceted verse indeed.

"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." Luke 12:48b

These are two different words.

Anyone can give anyone else anything...a gift, advice, the flu.
Entrusted is selective. To entrust someone with something implies confidence and's all about trust...look it up!

Yes, we have been given a person who takes more than the "typical" amount of parenting and involvement...and indeed demands that of us, for them to continue to move forward.

However, I would focus your attention, especially in those tough times, that we have been entrusted with much, and though much more will be asked of us, could it be that God has found us trustworthy to shepherd someone he created for a specific purpose... and he gave that person to us, because He found we could be trusted with this task?

God loves us, and He loves our children more than we do.

Believe it!
