Guard Your Heart

At 28 weeks with my son, I went into preterm labor and was told to be flat, in bed, until further notice. (Not so easy for a triple triple type A personality). However...whereas my plan had always been to have a model child, be off for a bit, find a premo day care and go right back to a power packed career...God had a different plan. So...last week was the first in this series of love notes God gave to me during these weeks.

At first, like I handled everything, I wanted things "fixed" and all to go back to "normal". In actuality, God did "fix" a few things, primary of which, was to re-center my focus - on Him. So; week 2 found me still waiting for the "fix" and anxiety growing...so as I "looked" for the right fix verse, instead, He gave me this one. Note....he was giving me the way to peace, again, and the addition of the promise that the peace He gives will guard my heart and mind.
Enjoy.

"Do not be anxious in anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
Phillipians 4:6-7
